Banaripara is an upazila in Barisal District in the Barisal Division of southern-central Bangladesh. The upazila is home to many distinguished personalities including A.K. I am now 60 years old a resident of Kolkata.My father who was a resident of Banaripara (I was told so) in his young days expired in 1987 at Kolkata. My grandfather came to Kolkata from Banaripara during the 2nd worldwar in the forties; he expired at Kolkata before my birth. A few of our remaining relatives left Banaripara after the partition.As far as I know the name of the village is 'Banaripara' and the house name was 'Kabirajbari'.
